I took my kayak to a new canoe / kayak launch site in Sandusky, OH on Lake Erie.  The launch place was nice except for a bunch of kids milling around, and a lot of smashed glass from their bottles.

The wind was somewhat strong, making for small whitecaps.  Boat traffic was light - only 3 boats and 2 jet-skis passed the entire trip.

I saw some cool wildlife - got close to a pack(?) of baby ducks swimming along, and saw two large cranes sitting on rocks in the water.  The houses along the northern causeway are neat to paddle by.

A few lessons learned
-Don't forget your wet shoes at home
-Don't leave your drinks in the car
-Invest in some drip rings for your paddle(s)
